The acronym MRDO stands for “Movement for Rural Development Organization”. It is a social welfare organization, which has come into existence in December 2007 originally; it was small village society in Khazana Dheri District Mardan. MRDO organized the local Youth in 1998 for welfare of poor farmers of his village. Sometimes, the village society would arrange free medical camps in collaboration of different NGOs for the welfare of the poor community in different villages of Mardan.
MRDO is a multipurpose gender sensitive youth focused, community based welfare and development driven non-profit Organization working in the fields of Women empowerment, Human Rights , Child Protection, Disaster, Education, Health , Environmental Protection, Water Supply and Sanitation & Agriculture. The Group of Energetic Youth makes an Organization, which shall run on self-help basis for the poor rural community of central region of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa. Thus an NGO was setup by this group of young social activist, Lawyers, Agriculturists, doctors & educationist and its name was kept M.R.D.O “Movement for Rural Development Organization”. This organization was registered with GOP Society Registration act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. 1464/5/5758) Khyber Pakhtun Khwa, Pakistan.
